One of the top young players in the Dallas area who is quickly making a name for himself is Willie Warren, the hot shooting two guard from the class of 2008. Warren is already playing steady minutes on his school's varsity squad as a freshman for Cedar Hill, Texas. Elite Preps.com recently had the opportunity to see him in action against Arlington Martin, and he did not disappoint.
Like most freshmen playing on their high school's top team, Warren does not try to dominate his surroundings too much. He simply works within the flow of the game, and does a good job of blending into his team's offense. Warren shows a knack this finding soft spots in defenses out on the perimeter, and when his teammates can get him the ball, his sweet stroke does the rest.
This week playing in his team's conference opener, Warren shot the lights out. After missing his first attempt from behind the arc, he did not miss again, knocking down six consecutive three pointers. Warren finished the game with a team high 20 points to help his team to a victory in their first district game of the year. |
